Dragonets

Not only had the out of control spells caused the Draconians to be created, but each of them found an identical mark on the back of their right hand in the shape of a dragon’s head.  It was fairly large, stretching from the knuckles to the wrist.  It was a darker shade then their skin, like a birthmark, but it was incredibly detailed, like a tattoo.  Out of some instinct, they knew it was special, and they knew if they called, something would come.

The bravest of the Draconians called.  In a flash of light, the mark vanished and the light became a tiny dragon.  The other Draconians, fascinated by the creature, called to theirs as well.  They named the little creatures Dragonets.  As easily as they were summoned, the Draconians could call them back.  And so they would become the detailed marking once again.

The Draconians soon learned, however, that the Dragonets are not creatures tied to them by the magical blast.  Instead, the little dragons are extensions of their masters.  Being tied as they are to the Draconian, the Dragonets have no health of their own.  Meaning even though the little Dragonets will fight for their master, every hit delivered to them is taken out of the HP of the Draconian controlling them.  If the Dragonet dies, so then does the Draconian.

Likewise, if a Draconian uses an HP potion, both the Draconian and the Dragonet are healed.  Therefore, they have no use for a pet heal skill, such as the venomancers use.  As long as the Draconian has health, the Dragonet will continue to fight.  If a Draconian chooses to use their Dragonet in battle, skill and strategy will have to be used to ensure both of their survival.

The Dragonet’s attacks are not as strong as their masters.  Each attack does 40% of their master’s base attack.  But they do have their own special attack called Bite.  When used, it has a 25% chance of causing poison damage over time. (suggested by GohanX).  The cost for using Bite is taken out of the master’s MP.
